Quickstep Muse has taken the beauty and natural textures of stone, slate and concrete and combined them with the benefits of Quickstep laminate, resulting in a range of beautiful, realistic-looking floors.

Quickstep's designers drew inspiration from a Belgian bluestone quarry formed more than 400 million years ago. They studied the small chalky fragments, shells and fossils found in the stone — all of which helped shape their Muse portfolio.

Thanks to their innovative colour technology, they have managed to mimic the contrast and intensity of genuine stone tiles. The superbly refined surface matches the design of the tile, so it looks and feels like real stone.

So what's the difference between Quickstep Muse and a real stone floor? Muse is warm to the touch, so there's no need to worry about cold feet in the morning. It also boasts the iconic Uniclic installation system, which makes DIY installation an easy option — saving you the cost of expensive laminate fitting.

As for installation, 5 of the decors let you choose between a crosswise layout or a half-stone layout, giving you more freedom in designing your stone-inspired laminate floor.

The range includes 11 unique designs, including 3 bluestone decors, 6 concrete decors and 2 slate decors. Botanic Concrete has a truly distinctive style, with flowers and greenery blended into the stone design. And if you prefer a classic slate look, Grey Slate is an excellent choice.

Every design has bevelled edges to help define each tile. They are also finished with Quickstep's anti-scratch technology and are water-resistant. As with every Quickstep laminate, you can be sure these floors are durable and built to withstand everyday spills and accidents.

All Quick-step laminate floors have high impact resistance.

In accordance with the European standard (EN438), all QS laminate floors have at least

impact resistance classification IC2. This classification is the combined result of two tests:

• The height from which objects can be dropped without causing

cracks or indentations in the floor.

• The force with which objects can be dropped onto the floor without causing damage is measured.

In addition to the impact resistance of the laminate itself, the shock-absorbing quality of the floor's underlay is also very important.

Did you know that natural wood floors shrink and expand due to changes in temperature and humidity, which over time leads to a fine gap forming between the boards? The micro-gap, a sign of an early stage of an ageing floor, is the same effect QuickStep recreates on some of its laminate floors to create a natural look.
