All laminate floors from Quick-step have high impact resistance.

In accordance with the European standard (EN438), all laminate floors from QS have at least

an IC2 impact resistance classification. This classification is the combined result of two tests:

• Testing the height from which objects can be dropped without causing

cracks or dents in the floor.

• Measuring the force with which objects can be dropped onto the floor without causing damage.

In addition to the impact resistance of the laminate itself, the shock-absorbing properties of the floor's underlay are also very important.

Did you know that solid wood floors shrink and expand as temperature and humidity change, which over time leads to a fine gap forming between the boards? The micro-channel that signals the early stage of an ageing floor is the same channel that QuickStep creates on some laminate floors, to produce a natural look.
