All Quick-step laminate floors have high impact resistance.

In accordance with the European standard (EN438), all laminate floors QS have at least

an impact resistance classification of IC2. This classification is the combined result of two tests:

• The height from which objects can be dropped without causing

cracks or dents in the floor is tested.

• The force with which objects can be dropped onto the floor without causing damage is measured.

In addition to the impact resistance of the laminate itself, the shock-absorption characteristics of the floor's underlay are also very important.

Did you know that solid wood floors shrink and expand due to changes in temperature and humidity, which over time leads to the formation of a fine gap between the boards? The micro-gap, a sign of an early stage of an aging floor, is the gap that QuickStep creates on some laminate floors to produce a natural-looking appearance.
